Our Motivation behind Chitchat.gg

Chatting with strangers on traditional platforms can be extremely frustrating. Having proper conversations with people and making meaningful connections proves to be difficult. Unfortunately, many top platforms are poorly maintained and outdated. The lack of moderation causes a flood of bots, and finding real people is a challenge. To make things worse, these platforms are often cluttered with ads that slow you down. All of this is not helped by the confusing and messy layouts. Let’s face it - the user experience sucks.

This issue has made us realize the need for a more modern approach to chatting - a website that gets frequently updated while focusing on simplicity and privacy. We want a platform that understands what users want. No bots, no cluttered ads - just a simple and delightful chatting experience. With this in mind, we have decided to develop Chitchat.gg as a small team. Our goal is to become one of the top platforms for people to chat with strangers. We want to provide a refreshing and progressive chatting experience that allows you to connect with like-minded people from all over the world.

Our Approach to User-Friendly Features

Optional Account Creation

Chitchat.gg can be used completely anonymously, without the need to register an account. There is no need to input an email and password. However, for those who want to keep their data, chats, and friends saved to access them from other devices at any time, we offer the option to create an account.

Friends System

Sometimes it can be difficult to find an enjoyable person to chat with in random stranger chats. But if you do come across someone you vibe with and want to keep talking to them without sharing your social media, we got you covered with our friends system. You can add and remove friends or even block them if necessary. Simply click on their name or profile picture to view their profile and hit "Add Friend". And if you're not trying to receive friend requests, just turn it off in the settings. Super easy!

Chat and Match History

Sometimes you may think, “Wait, what was that one convo I had with that one random person?” Or maybe you forgot to add a stranger and you already started a few new chats. No worries, we've got your back with chat history for matches. You can view the last eight convos you've had with a stranger.

Preventing Unintentional Disconnects

One of the most annoying things about using random chats with strangers is accidentally getting disconnected. You might refresh the page by mistake or your internet dies. It's very frustrating to lose that conversation you were enjoying, and we understand that. That's why our matching system doesn't disconnect the chat if your partner loses connection or goes offline. Instead, you'll get a heads up that your partner went offline, and you can choose to wait for them or find a new person. Even if you end up skipping them, your partner can still hit you up you from the chat history if they ever come back.

Seamless Transitions

Unlike other platforms, on Chitchat.gg you can chat on multiple devices or tabs without losing connection or access to your current chat. You can easily switch between your smartphone, tablet, or laptop while still keeping talking to your current chat partner. Useful for those who are always on the go, as they can chat whenever and wherever they want. It also means you don’t have to keep logging in and out of different devices, making the process much more seamless and user-friendly.

We Hate Ads

Despite ads being the more profitable choice, we have decided against integrating them. Our main focus is to maintain and enhance a great experience for our users, without the distraction of advertisements or being slowed down by them. We want our users to love the platform and have fun chatting without being bombarded with ads that nobody cares about anyways.

Why We Offer Subscriptions

In response to our decision against the use of ads, we have chosen to offer subscriptions to users instead. This way, they can freely choose to support us while also gaining access to advanced features. Purchasing a subscription is completely optional, and you can still have a great experience without one. However, since we don’t generate revenue from ads, Chitchat.gg wouldn’t be able to sustain itself without users purchasing subscriptions, and we are deeply grateful to anyone who supports us this way.

Premium Subscription Features

Our premium subscriptions offer advanced features that can help you connect with strangers. You can filter users based on your preferred gender, send and receive images and videos, and unlock even more interest and match history slots. There are other features available, but we recommend exploring them on our platform.

We’re still in Beta

Although our platform might seem complete, it is not quite there yet. You might encounter some bugs, notice that some things are not working as expected, or that features are frequently changed or even removed. This is because we are still experimenting with features, design, and technologies in our beta stage. We are a small team working hard to make everything as stable as possible. Our Future

Our current focus is to release a stable version of Chitchat.gg, which means making your experience almost bug-free and adding all the necessary features to the website. Currently, Chitchat.gg only offers text-based chat, but we plan to add video matching in the future. Before we do that, we want to make sure that we have all the details figured out. Additionally, we plan to release an Android/iOS app to provide enhanced features on mobile devices.
